A mecca for candle lovers, to be sure. I was pleased to find a few items that have been out of stock at my local store for a long time. I just wish I'd had more than 45 minutes to explore! I didn't really get a chance to see the Christmas village or any of the other goodies. They have all sorts of stuff here, like a candy section, kitchen wares, etc. Staff was friendly and helpful. One of the ladies taught me to sniff the candle lid, not the candle. Apparently the fragrance oils rise, so sniffing the lid will give you a more accurate representation of what the candle will smell like when it's lit. I will keep that trick in mind for the future! I also appreciated that they didn't rudely throw us out at closing time. They were very gracious about it and let us wrap up what we were doing before checking out.

First off, this is probably one of the cutest restaurants I've been in. A really great place to visit during the holidays or on a date. Sadly, the atmosphere does not make up for the food. I came here the weekend before Christmas and although it was busy, we were seated within five minutes. I ordered the macaroni and cheese with clam chowder. The clam chowder tasted like it came from a Chunky's soup can-not sure if that is a good or bad thing. The macaroni looked good but was a small portion for the price, but I did not mind as I did not want leftovers. It was very bland and I had to add salt and pepper so I felt like I was eating more than cardboard. My dad ordered a pot pie and he said it was not anything special either. The service was also pretty slow but I could tell the waiter was busy. This restaurant has so much potential but really needs to improve their food.

If I had to describe Chandler's in one word it would be 'Lazy' Due to it's immediate vicinity to Yankee Candle I'm sure they know they'll have built in customers who are visiting the store. That said, I can see why they've chosen not to transcend beyond what appears to be a bare minimum standard. The decor matched the cozy New England feel that emanates from the adjacent candle store, with dining areas divided into rooms and alcoves as well as open dining areas. I came slightly after the lunch rush (around 2) and was seated almost immediately despite what looked to be a full house. Our waiter was prompt in taking our order and refilling drinks but seemed in a rush and probably said fewer than ten words to us during our time there. I ordered some type of beef stew along with my entree, but as another reviewer noted it tasted like it came out of a can; worse yet it tasted like Progresso soup. Our food arrived within good time but I was not impressed to say the least. My baked macaroni had some semblance of flavor in the beginning but it soon faded into nothingness.I had to sprinkle some salt and unscrew the pepper to get a hint of flavor out of the lumps of pasta and cheese they dared to label as macaroni. My dad ordered the pot pie and while he noted that the taste was nothing special, the presentation was almost lazy. They pretty much put some chunky soup in a bowl, put a piece of bread on top and stuck it in the oven for good measure. It just looked lazy and I don't think it would have been too much trouble to line the bowl with pie crust first if even KFC can accomplish this basic task. The waiter seemed eager to get us out and practically tossed our receipt on the table. Overall I feel like the restaurant experience does not hold up under the facade of an inviting house on the cape. As an out of towner I won't have much reason to visit Deerfield again but if I did it definitely wouldn't be to eat at Chandler's Restaurant again.

Let me preface this review by saying that I love football, cars, cheap beer and women. I still love the Yankee Candle Factory. Maybe it's because I have the mind of a five year old, but something about the whole Christmas theme, the snowy Christmas tree forest, the castle, the Bavarian village and the fudge and candy shops makes me unbearably giddy. I push small children out of the way in my excitement and I don't even feel bad about it. I can't help myself. It's like Disney World if Disney smelled like deliciously scented candles instead of urine, sweat and remorse.

Located next to Yankee Candle Village this is a very nice restaurant to have lunch at during your visit, or a relaxing country comfort type dinner. Each time I have been here the food has been very good, and the service has been decent enough. Not the swiftest at times, but I do have to remember this is in "the country" which means they are a little slower, which is ok for a relaxing non-rushed meal. Thick and tasty New England Clam Chowder (actually awesome!), Beer Battered Fish & Chips, Shepard's Pie, and the Pan Fried Crab Cakes are all delicious and reasonably priced. They also have many sandwiches to choose from. I have had some terrific beers here. Chandler's offers locally-brewed beers from the nearby Berkshire Brewing Company, and some are quite delicious. On tap - Steel Rail extra pale ale, Berkshire traditional pale ale, Drayman's porter, a seasonal beer selection, and a BBC Sampler to try 5 ounces of each brew. Not bad in the $4 - $8 range. There are always some sort of special events going on here too - beer/wine tastings, beer/wine food pairings, holiday meals, kids events, cooking classes, etc.

I get the feeling Chandler's thinks their good food makes up for their bad everything else...it doesn't. On the plus side; food was excellent. I had the pork tenderloins with braised red cabbage, glazed apples, garlic buttered spaetzle. Excellent! On the minus side; Very expensive. But I suppose if you don't mind paying $30 for a candle, you'll have no problem paying $30 for an entree. These prices are fine for a high end restaurant but Chandler's is anything but. Loud, crowded, screaming children, slow service. It was so dark in there I could barely read my menu. I guess the thought is that since they are part of Yankee Candle, they should light the restaurant with candles only. Very nice ambiance I suppose but not good for actually seeing. Although I did see some electric light fixtures along the walls. Fake candles. We were seated right next to the entertainment.(guitar and saxophone). They were so loud our waitress had to yell the specials to us so we could hear. I guess this made her so uncomfortable that she didn't come back to our table again unless it was absolutely necessary. Consequently we waited forever for our food, our check, getting our water refilled (which never happened). All the while being treated to diners next to us who played musical chairs and pass the crying baby around all through their dinner. All in all a pretty disappointing dining experience. Next time I go to Yankee Candle I'm brown bagging it.

Extremely slow service. Been in here over an hour and still no food. We sat at our table for 15 min before a server even came by to take our order. I'd review the food but not sure when we will get it. It better be amazing.

I always gave a great time when I visit the Yankee Candle Flagship store. There is more to see than you can do in one day. I enjoying visiting the Christmas area and browse the shops.

When we were seated for lunch, I immediately noticed that the water glasses on our table were absolutely filthy. As in, you could barely see through them. They were spotty and covered in some sort of gritty film. My menu had food on the cover of it-- actual food, not a picture of food-- and there were oil stains on the tablecloth. Our waitress removed the dirty glasses from the table without being asked, likely because we'd sort of pushed them away from our place settings and into a corner of the table. She said she would come back with clean water glasses, but never did. I ordered a Diet Coke, and have no doubt that it was served in an equally icky glass, but I figured that asking to see the glass before it was filled with the liquid would have been a bridge too far. (I heard another table complain about their glasses, and some excuse about the dishwasher was given. Whatever. There is no conceivable reason why dirty anything should be placed on a dining table.) My sandwich-- turkey-- was fine. (I just realized I've Yelped three or four turkey sandwiches in the last two weeks, as if I'm being paid by Boar's Head to scope the competition.) It was one of those "Thanksgiving" ones with cranberry sauce and stuffing. Eh. I appreciated that the turkey was sliced thickly and not just deli meat, but it was really dry. It seems like Chandler's is staffed entirely by high school and college students. This was the case when I visited a few years ago as well. And while they seem like perfectly nice, responsible kids (our waitress was actually a very nice girl), I find that a little odd. In light of the sloppy way in which things are evidently run there, it makes it seem as though there's no adult overseeing the operation.

The food was good. The portions were small and over priced. But if you stuck at Yankee Candle I guess. There are other places in the area. I once went for a mystery theater dinner that was worth it.

We did sit by a drafty window that was pretty tough to handle, but the temp regulated throughout the meal. Service was kinda spotty. Our server was attentive and very helpful at some points and then gone off into hiding at other times. Food was pretty super, we enjoyed a beef and barley soup and chowder to start. The Cinnamon braised pork Shepards Pie was pretty amazing as well great portion and a really cool presentation. It was pretty funny to look out the window at the highway i would say it is best to eat there at night. This will help to hide it as you look out at the lights, lighting the courtyard. Also instead of mints with your bill you'll receive some votives depending on the season.

Horrible! We've been here before and everything was very good. This time, long wait, bland food? The salmon dish was so dry and there was not even a chicken item on the menu. For 93.00 it wasn't worth 20.00!!! Too bad...the place itself is very pretty!

  • Jennifer D.

So I have to agree with the majority of the users that the food was phenomenal, I can't begin to even describe how much I've enjoyed my dinner here. My problem was that the wait was unusually long. I got here and was told that my wait was only going to be 25-30 minutes long, hey that's not that bad, about an hour later I got my table. Now I understand that if there are reservations then they come before people who just walk in, and I had spoken with the hostess a few times about how much longer it was going to be and she said it would just be a little while longer both times. Right as I was thinking about walking out I was informed that my table was ready for me. The food was so good, I would love to come back here again, I believe that the food was worth the money completely. We got seated in what the restaurant would call 'cozy' but I would honestly say it was 'crowded'. There was one of those tray holders directly behind my face, and when I asked my one and only waitress if it could be moved, she did move it only a few inches away because the space was small. When I asked the waitress about this situation she said that it had been a busy night and that she had been there from early during the day ( it was 10 at night). I felt so bad that she was on her feet the whole time I gave her a generous tip. I love love love the food here but the environment could be a bit better.

I was at Yankee Candle a month ago. It was wonderful! I was able to stock up on all my candles, there were tons that I can't find locally! It's a HUGE store & loved it! The woman who helped me was so helpful!! I wanted to find her manager & give her kudos, but my son was completely over it by that time. Michelle was great & I hope that everyone there is as helpful as she was. I can't wait to go back next year!!

  • Kurtis P.

Unlike anything you'd ever expect. Yes they're known for their candles and yes their candles are top rate, but that is only the tip of the iceberg. Any store that is so big that it requires a map to help prevent you from getting lost already says something... My wife and I have stopped here a few times and while we often don't go in with anything specific in mind, we usually leave with many things. Yes they have all of their scents throughout, but the most exciting part is taking a walk through the different 'worlds' that they have wonderfully setup and amazingly decorated. Here you'll find different themed areas with a lot more than just candles, including christmas ornaments, everyday items, imported items, and many many more things. No matter how much time you leave, you'll never have enough time to explore it all.

  • Lindsey L.

i loved this store. it was fun and there are tons of items beyond candles. nonetheless, my goal was to buy a handful of votive candles. I ended up filing up a 12-count plastic votive candle holder with 12 amazing scents. love this store. if you are in amherst, you cannot miss this place!!

  • Emily B.

Definitely the Disneyland of Candles. As a southern visiting New England, I had no idea how seriously they take their candles up North. Yankee is definitely an experience from the christmas village to making your own candle. Its definitely worth a visit, but I had to dock a star as no one working there seemed to know where anything was.

I took my family on a Saturday around Noon 4 weeks before xmas so keep that in mind. The parking lot was full and had to drive around for a few minutes to find a parking spot. Apparently no one knows how to park as there were whole sections were people were on/over the lines. Walking in the door you do get hit with a pleasant candle smell. The place was mobbed. The map they give you is useless to find your way around. It was heaven for my 4yr old. She made a candle, put a jar under colorful tube and press button, repeat 7 times and then wait 20 minutes for the top to melt and cool off. She enjoyed the snow room, which is really foamy bubbles that fell every 4 min. My biggest mistake was bringing my 16 month old son, all he wanted to do was pick things up and throw them, and almost everything he could reach was either expensive or breakable. I didn't bring a stroller which was a good thing because there was barely enough room to walk around and anyone with a cart or stroller got stuck constantly. Will I go back? Probably because my wife liked it but I'd rather drive 20 minutes to the mall to buy overpriced candles and other things that no one really needs then drive 2 hours each way.

Great meatloaf and the wife loved her "Stacked Turkey" dinner. Surprised at the menu, though. I was in the mood for a nice ribeye steak but the only beef was the meatloaf or sirloin tips. Great high-end ambiance and even the meatloaf looked gourmet but first glance at the menu suggests that you're in a diner. I do love diners, though. We'll definitely be back ........ next time she wants to go to Yankee Candle.

This place is obscene. A true testament to American consumerism. That being said if you ever want something to do on a rainy day - complete with artificial snowfall and medieval castles - check it out. You will leave no longer able to smell anything.

I have wanted to continue to like this place. Every fall my mother, sister and I drive out to Yankee Candle and have lunch here. We have been coming for years, this year will be our last. We used to love Chandler's. Good service and great food. However we have seen a decline in both aspects. In regards to food my chicken was bland and my potatoes lumpy and very dry. The service here is really what prompts me to give one star. I have celiac, and since being diagnosed whether I return to a restaurant or not is based not only on how safe my food is but how the server reacts to my allergy. When I asked the hostess if they had a gluten free menu she politely told me they have gluten free options and my server would be happy to help. Yeah, not so much. When she came over to tell us the specials I had an idea she wasn't the nicest person. Very sarcastic sounding and she seemed bored. When I asked her what on the menu was safe for someone with celiac she responded "anything without bread or flour." Uh, yeah, because as a diagnosed celiac I do not know the absolute basics of my allergy. The point of my question was not only to alert her of my allergy but to make sure something that would normally be safe in one location was safe here. Needless to say the lunch wasn't a positive experience and Chandler's needs to do a better job in hiring waitstaff. If this was an isolated incident I would probably let it go but in the past five years or so the service has gone downhill fast.

I'm writing this review on behalf of my wife who is currently laying uncomfortably down , trying to recover from lunch. My wife has a pepper allergy, and that sucks. It means that she has to ask the waitress wherever she goes what she can eat...because most things have pepper on them (rightly so because pepper is awesome). She asked the waitress, and from the limited choices chose Haddock. The side was overcooked rice and the "SEASONAL Vegetable" which in March is apparently summer squash. She says the Fish smelled "Fishy" and the chef apparently replaced the normal breadcrumbs with torn up white bread. I'm told that the waitress was great and it wasn't her fault...but the food was very bad. Oh, and it didn't come with a salad (despite $17.00 for lunch)...the salad was an extra $5. Nothing good to be said about Chandlers...if you are in Western Mass and like Candle Themed Eating, I recommend you go to the Farm Table instead.

it is a really nice place to visit. Nice place for pictures. The staff doesnt help much or do anything to help you!

Can I just say I had sooo much fun coming here. It literally took me a couple hours to go through the whole place. There is so much to see and I don't even think I saw everything. I loved all the vinaigrettes and pastas they had, who would have known. I'm coming back here next season for all the new Yankee scents.

This place is big and has a lot, don't get me wrong. At 90,000 SF they hold a lot but I think for me where they fall short is that there is no advantage to going to this location instead of say, the mall and so I sort of think to myself well unless you have kids who want to make their own candles why go to this location? The lines to check out are usually insane, insane to the point that you will consider just walking away even after investing 30 minutes to an hour in shopping. They do have a lot of toys and trinket stuff but nothing that blows you away. This is basically a Toys R Us, Novelty store and yankee candle. Instead of driving 40 miles out of your way just go to the mall.

Best place in the area. Nice restaurant & outside area. It's not just a candle store, but I did get to create my own candle for just $12. Yayy!

The food is disgusting and overpriced. Even the coffee was stale and gross. I bought a cookie (all of them were crushed) and it tasted like only baking soda and flour. The store and the decor are beautiful, but don't eat lunch here. On a day trip, it would be wise to find literally anywhere else to get food. Not worth it.

Stopped in for dinner on a Saturday evening, and it was pretty empty. We were seated fairly quickly, and we were told that they had no more menus, since there was a big party in the back, but they'd "try to find some". They did, after we all shared the one menu and had decided what to get. I like that they supposedly have a bunch of BBC on tap most of the time, but since they were having some "work done on the taps" (paraphrasing), we only had two draught choices. That was fine, one sounded good, and it was. We waited about 45 minutes after ordering before we got food, which I thought a bit odd... the place was maybe 1/3 full? But they did have that big party in the back who they apparently reserved all the menus and wait staff for. That said, our waitress, when she did come around, was very pleasant, professional and great to deal with. For a main course, I got a nut-crusted venison special with risotto and seasonal veggies. I ordered the venison "rare to medium-rare" and got it at medium well. However, it was tender enough that I didn't bother to send it back. Venison itself was tasty enough, though the demi/sauce was pretty bland. Vegetables were very nicely cooked, not overdone, and a nice mix. Risotto had been overcooked and didn't have much flavor. Other folks in my party seemed to find their dishes acceptable, but there was certainly no "wow!". For what they were charging, they should be doing something special. I could eat at a certain restaurant just up 116 for those prices and have an amazing meal. Overall, I don't think I'll return.

After several attempts to find a restaurant/pub on YELP in South Deerfield, MA that was open, accepted credit cards, and close to Yankee Candle, we decided to settle with Chandlers. I went in not expecting much as the reviews were a tad bit low, but I was impressed! Yes, the food took a while to arrive, but it was delicious! We had the pastrami sandwiches, chicken sandwich, and cobb salad. The wine and beer menus satisfied our needs and the atmosphere was homey and inviting. The waitress was also very knowledgable about the food options, friendly, and welcoming! I will definitely eat here again if heading through Deerfield again.

Very busy (Thanksgiving weekend). We sat at the bar instead of waiting for a table. I had a garden salad and soup-clam chowder. The soup was fantastic, and the dressing for the salad was great. The wine list is extensive , and the service at the bar was very good. We skipped Yankee Candle because it was soooo crowded.

Love to come to Yankee Candle Deerfield. I live 40 mins away but it is so worth the drive! A fun place to spend a few hours. Make sure to get some fudge! It's a must. So good & so many flavors to choose from Oh ya the Candles are not too bad either ;) 2 thumbs up Yankee Candle

I have no idea why my experience was better than the previous reviewers but I definitely enjoyed great food and service at Chandler's. We walked in just as they were closing and yet, they happily sat us without making us feel bad or rushed. It was a quiet evening and the place had this magical feel to it, with all the candles lit (I believe over 300). I enjoyed a super yummy small plate of Butternut Squash Ravioli & Duck Confit Ragout... ridiculous. And my boyfriend got the roasted duck. We spent the entire meal mmmming about our dishes. I have to say that we are both rather particular about our food and never rave if raving isn't deserved. I honestly found the food to thoughtfully prepared and the assemblage of flavors to be fabulous. The wine selection was impressive (if you really like wine, as I do). And evidently they have a wine tasting on the first Friday of every month. This is a rare case where we decided to check out this place NOT because of yelp reviews. Evidently the head chef of Chandler's recently won a cook off hosted by Friends of Children and based on his winnings we decided to disregard yelp and give the place our own review. So here you have it. Check it out and if you don't agree, write about it on yelp!

I really enjoy Chandler's food. The menu features great seasonal ingredients, and a lot of options for different tastes. The clam chowder is some of the best I've ever had. They have BBC on tap, and feature a diverse and large wine list. For lunch, the buffalo wings are pretty good, as well as the PEI Mussels. For dinner, their seafood never disappoints. The desserts are constantly changing, but the Chocolate Lava Cake, and Tollhouse Cookie pie are the best. I would like to see Chandler's try a Chef's Tasting menu, as it would really differentiate itself from the rest of the top restaurants in Western Mass.

A pretty nice stopping point on the long trips down from VT, but I guess I was (wrongly) expecting more of a discount/seconds place. The selection is overwhelming, but the prices are close to those at normal Yankee Candle mall stores.

Service was prompt and polite but the food was indifferent. We were initially seated at a table where one of us had to bend forward to avoid contact with the curtains. They were very courteous about reseating us. The mussels in broth were good but the pulled pork lacked sauce and was flavorless. The roast chicken must have been sitting around for a while because it was very dry. We were the last to leave at 8:45.

I was totally unimpressed with this restaurant. The food was incredibly ordinary lacking any flavor and absolutely no creativity. Service was slow adding to a generally poor experience...if places like the Olive Garden are your cup of tea then Chandler's will do fine BUT if you seek fine/creative dining look elsewhere. This is just another tourist trap.

For all the hype this place gets, I was honestly disappointed. My boyfriend took me here for Valentine's Day, seeing as we usually go to the same old restaurants time and time again (you know how it is, 99, TGI Fridays, Ruby Tuesdays...those are the only options near us.) and we wanted to go somewhere special. We spent some time in Yankee Candle and headed over to Chandler's a little after 6 PM. Even though our reservation wasn't until 7:30, we were fortunate and they sat us by 7. We had a drink while we waited, and while mine was of normal strength, my boyfriends White Russian tasted exactly like chocolate milk. He asked if there was alcohol in it, and they told him there was. (No offer to make it again, or anything of the like. We didn't force the issue.) Now, I understand Valentine's Day is probably the busiest night of the year for them, so the "problems" I experienced may not be commonplace. Our waitress was very nice. She wasn't overly friendly, but she was polite, she was there when we needed her, and she got us what we needed and helped us customize our plates more to our liking. The food was, unfortunately, nothing to write home about. We both got the salmon and while it was fresh, it was subpar, and the sides were nothing fancy. For $26 a plate, we were expecting really delicious food, and were pretty disappointed. The ambiance was nice, however. Everything was lit by candles, and the tables were cozy but not cramped. (The bar, however, was VERY small-- only enough room to seat six!) At the end of the meal, they gave us mints and tiny candles to take home, which I thought was a pretty nice touch. All in all, we were expecting it to be more of a 'fine dining' experience. We wanted to be wowed, but were underwhelmed. It wouldn't have been such a big deal if the pricetag wasn't fairly hefty... we dropped $100 at least. We had a good time, but probably won't return.

Agreeing on the other reviewers on here, the ambiance is great. On the important note.. The food is subpar. If you are claiming yourself to be a fine dining establishment than you need to step up your game Chandlers! We were a party or four on a Sunday for lunch. Walked in to three hostess' staring at a seating chart and we were not acknowledged for a solid two minutes. Rude! The hostess told us it would be a half hour wait so my family walked over to look in Yankee. I decided to try and order a mimosa at the bar, (tried being the operative word.) I literally sat at the empty bar for 12 minutes without anyone acknowledging my presence. Finally ordered a drink, and the hostess came over to inform me our table was ready. Since the timing was waaaay off my family was still over shopping. I told her that I would settle my bill and wait for my family in the front area. She disregarded me and starting walking me to my table. Young, clueless staff here seems to be the issue. Finally seated we all ordered a generous amount of food. My soup was horrible and I sent it back. (Butternut squash) tasted like it was from a sugar container. I have had it better at small pubs. 2 out four of our entrees were good. Overpriced for the experience, your basically paying for the atmosphere. Oh my drink was great though, and they had a fun list.

Visited Yankee Candle today. Forgot how beautiful and clean and diverse this store is. Not only do they sell all of their famous candles, they carry home decor, kitchen decor, kitchen utensils, as well as dips, soups, jams, baking mixes etc. Not to mention: bathroom decor, bath and body supplies, purses, bags, clothes, jewelry, gardening supplies, dishes, mugs, plates, silverware, candle holders and snuffers ...still thinking...goodness so many great gift ideas for Christmas or anytime of year...They still have everything I remember loving to see when I was a little girl: snow, trees, ornaments, Santa, the Castle room with the suits of armor...along with all the stuffed animals and candy. Bought some ornaments for our tree and some lace runners for my vanity, as well as some new scents to sample. Totally fun afternoon, wandering and getting lost at Yankee Candle...it really is like another planet...

It took us almost 30 minutes to get our lunch around 3 pm, um wtf? When the food came out, my grand mother in law had to send her food back because it was cold. I'm surprise she asked them to microwave it instead of re cooking the thing. I had the pulled pork bbq sandwich. Fail! There was hardly any BBQ sauce and the bottom bun was soggy as hell. Was looking forward to eating at Cracker Barrel but instead we came here instead. The pretzel inside Yankee Candle Village is more appetizing than this joke of a sandwich.

My husband and I went to Chandler's on a Friday night. The place was pretty empty, but then it was only 6:00pm. The restaurant itself is lovely. We had a table by a window overlooking a garden. The candles were lit; the waitress was friendly. The real problem was with the food. It simply did not taste good. The mashed potatoes and vegies were okay, but the pork tenderloin was pretty tasteless. My husband had trout which was also pretty tasteless, and the lentil side dish was dry, bland, and tasteless. Well, ever hoping for the best we decided to share a molten lava cake. It came in a ramekin and had obviously just been zapped in the microwave. Molten lava cake in a ramekin? Isn't the point of this dessert that it flows out when you use your fork to take a bite? For the ambiance and friendliness of the waitress I would like to give Chandler's 3 stars, but this place is just too expensive for the quality of food.

Delicious. We went for an early dinner at 5 p.m., and there were probably 3 or 4 other tables there. Great service--very attentive and personable. I had shrimp and scallops on home-made pasta, and my husband had sesame seared tuna steak with wasabi potatoes. Both had great flavor, were large portions, and had very quality ingredients. Best part of the meal was the wine which was great price and so delicious.

I want to give this restaurant more stars, but just can't. This area is so dire for good eateries I just wish this one was better. We had a party for a birthday here, the food was cold, the service, eh..( the duck was extremely fatty and more black and blue rather than medium rare, the fish had soooo much breading and the birthday person was basically one of the last served. Her entree was inedible, fortunately some one else switched with her at the table. We had to purchase a cake that made Duncan Hines look gourmet( made w/ canned frosting, and canned cherries and a bad devil's food mix), I don't think one of the 13 of us ate a whole slice. There were un opened wine bottles, rather than remove them from the bill they opened them and made us leave with them. ( Rendering them undrinkable if not consumed within a day.) The server was clue less when a spritzer was ordered w/ gingerale rather than soda. Also basic serving etiquette ( serve to right, entree in front and clear from left) completely lacking. Although located next to Yankee candle it still is a bad idea to use scented candles in an eatery.

This is not your everyday Yankee Candle store. First of all, the place is HUGE (90k square feet), with not just candles of every shape, size and scent, but also candle accessories, and other home decor items. This is THE flagship Yankee Candle store and it is open year round. The animitronic "Candle Mountain Boys" perform twice an hour. So gather the kiddies around for some top-notch (heh) entertainment. There is a restaurant and sweet shop on site as well.

Went for lunch on a Saturday on the way to a wedding. NO PARKING they share the lot with Yankee Candle on the weekend it is packed. I had a burger ordered med rare delivered very well done. You would think a $9 burger would be an easy lift for an fine dinning place. Sister had chix salad 1/2 sandwich w/ soup. She said the sandwich was lacking flavor. Service was slow but polite. Atmosphere was nice for neighboring the interstate. We sat outside on a perfect fall day this was the most enjoyable part of the experience.

As if there isn't enough snow and ice in Western Mass, Yankee Candle Co has a room that actually snows. yes. well, no. fake snow, but it snows nonetheless. You can dip your own candles for a small fee or snap a picture with the King Candle for free and then buy a chunk of pure sugary goodness in the form of fudge squares or chocolate covered pretzels. yum. All that, and if you go at the right time of the year, you get to enjoy your little sugar snack in an endlessly cheerful winter holiday atmosphere. very cheerful. a little too cheerful, if you catch my drift. Aside from candles, you can also shop for home stuff, from ornaments to cooking utensils to furniture. Fun, sure, but it's not exactly Ikea-practical. It's a fun little outing, good for a lazy consumer afternoon.

Country and olfactory sensory overload! If country decor is your thing, this place is for you, but I was crawling in my skin and couldn't wait to get out of there.

OK...at my sisters request we went back to Chandlers again this year...I fought her all the way though..lol. I have to say....happy we did. From what I heard there is a new owner and they have made changes. They stream lined their menu and adjusted a few things. This time.....we had a great server...Katie and everything we ate...WE LOVED! I would have given them a 5 star, but they were out of most of the desserts and only had apple ones left...ugh...not a fan. There were 5 of us...we shared the salad, crab cake and mussel apps. All 3 were great! my sisters loved the juice of the mussels so much they even finished the bread basket soaking up the juice in bottom of the bowl...lol. There was a mix of options for the main coarse....Chicken, Pulled Pork, Steak. Every dish, every side was perfect! Sometimes you have to give a place a second chance to make a great impression. #wortheverypenny

Chandler's Restaurant is located at the Yankee Candle Village. It's a very pretty area. This restaurant offers candlelight dinners and exquisite wine selection. It was a real beautiful place to dine at. As I walked in (for dinner), they greeted and took my jacket. The staff was very professional and friendly. The place was clean. The waiter was just a 3-star, where I expected more for fine-dining. The wait for our food was not long, but if we wanted refills, it would be more difficult trying to find her. The food was just okay. I got a salmon plate which looked like a high class hot pocket-- it was not amazing, but it was good. My brother got the prime rib with mashed potatoes and roasted vegetables--it was not the best he's ever had. This place is expensive, all of the entrees were $25+. We walked away with some yankee candles, which was cool and different. The restaurant is great for dates. Also, they have several rooms if you want to do group dining. Again, I expected more from the food. I'd give it a 3.5 star overall experience.

KITSCH and candles and KITSCH and housewares and KITSCH and fake snow and votives scented like "Midsummer's Night(R)," "Storm Watch (R)," "Summer Fiesta (tm)," and "Just Desserts (tm)." Sure, you can buy "Wedding Day (tm)" or "Fireside (tm)" scented candles at any of the 250+ Yankee Candle stores nationwide, or any of the several million other stores that carry them, but what's the fun if you can't do it amidst animatronic bluegrass singers and pelicans? Repeat visitors shake their heads at the slowly disappearing quirk; according to them, idiosyncracies are disappearing by the day and it's begining to look more and more like any other outlet store. But to my newbie eyes, the live Santa-suited man in the toy workshop, the elevated train that winds through the Christmas Shop, and the random array of purchasables was still a delight--even if all I bought was a stretchy glow in the dark frisbee with a light-up center.

Really fun way to spend a day! As Tim said, it's like they don't just have candles, they've also got TJ Maxx ... which is pretty much true, lots of decorative stuff for your home in addition to candles, christmas ornaments, alllll the different collectible christmas villages you can think of, good food gift items like mix for scones, silicone coated whisks, and Rachel Ray's EVOO. Lots of food options (we ate lunch at the bar in Chandler's - yum). Definitely a fun & different way and a good head start on holiday shopping/spirit!

Just counteracting that last salty 1-star review. Maybe nobody noticed you passive-aggressively walking in? I'm assuming it was early in the shift when things are slow and most of the staff is busy doing prep work. It sucks but it happens, get over it. As for MY experience? I've eaten here once and it was fine. And old country feel with above average food, a wide variety of drink options and specials (I had a spiced hot apple cider, it was delicious) and the service was very good. I was transitioning to veganism at the time and noticed not that many options for me in the future so I probably won't be heading back anytime soon, but if that isn't your deal this place is worth at least checking out. Just don't get too upset if you have to wait "20" minutes to be served.

In Regards To: Chandler's Restaurant We waited over 20 minutes after being seated for our waiter to arrive, but to no avail. After studying the lackluster menu intimately over that period, we decided it was not worth wasting anymore of our precious lives hoping for a waiter to arrive. Upon walking out, we saw two waitresses and a waiter standing by the kitchen entrance, laughing and telling jokes, obviously with no interest to serve the only three parties in the restaurant at the time. I pray you never have to endure the same experience we did. Thankfully, there's a Subway down the street if you want real food.

Such a cool spot! The village is enormous and there's so much more than candles. We spent about two hours there taking in all the little areas that they had (Santa's village, a castle area, candle making station, etc). It does get very crowded though but checkout is super fast given how many staff they have. Loved it!!

Place is huge and definitely specializes in more than just candles. Reminds me of that dream where you fall down a rabbit hole and suddenly become a kid again. There is a candy store, a toy store, a Christmas store, a wax hand attraction, trains that run throughout the front of the store, and the list goes on. I did find a few gems in the form of novelty syrups and mixed bag popcorn Staff here is the friendliest that there could ever be. I was on a mission to find a retired candle for a friend because she thought this would be the place for it. Although this location did not carry it, the staff seemed to determined to help me find it and gave me advice on tracking it down. Registers barely had lines and the stores were very clean. Parking was plentiful and the place is only miles from the highway. I would recommend this place to any couple or family of four who is looking for a weekend trip.

This place is kinda cool. If you love candles. We are from the west coast and went on vacation. We were told this place was a must see! So we made the trek out there. This is not what all the hype is about. It's got a lot of candles, that's about it. We wouldn't go back. But we went once it was cool. Now we're done.

Yankee Candle is one of those perennial spots you take out-of-town guests, Gran-ma and the kids to as it is a theme destination centered around a 365 day Christmas display and the scented candles that they are so well known for. There is room after attached room of various displays and sale items from: furnishings, an Old Fashioned Candy store, souvenirs, gifts, games, decorative items and over 400,000 candles in 200,000 different scents. The property is immaculate, festooned with a wide variety of flowers with wonderfully landscaped grounds to give you that unique New England Country feel that alone is worth the trip in my opinion. If you wish to dine, Chandlers Restaurant is on premise which does a very fine job. Before planning a trip go on line to see if there is a sale, as candles can be expensive without that added bonus. This is Yankee Candles flag ship store and there is a very good reason why thousands upon thousands flock to this destination each year, you won't be disappointed with a well timed visit.

Having avoided Yankee Candle stores before I set foot in their flagship location, I was unsure if I would enjoy this one. The stores had always seemed too twee for my tastes. But when I read that this is the second busiest free attraction (if you don't buy anything) in all of Massachusetts, I had to check it out. And it's definitely worth a stop in this part of the world. This mini-mall sized store is everything a scent-sensitive individual could dream of. It is room after room after room of every candle that Yankee Candle currently produces in all of their sizes. If a scent is out of production for a given season, they, unfortunately, won't carry it. If they did, this place would be almost perfect. In the hundreds of normal scents they do carry each season, ranging from fruit to pillows, there are very few, of course, that scream "manly." But the story does realize that half the population wants musky, woodsman smells so they have an entire section of "mandles" (they call it a man cave) with odors like camouflage. They all smelled like Axe Body Spray to me though. And since I don't mind my apartment smelling like strawberries, I went more traditional. Of course if you're not big on candles, there's plenty to do while others shop including a fudge shop, two entire rooms of traditional candy, and a musical theater with an animatronic jug band playing funny songs. They also have a museum on candle making where they sell traditional beeswax candles. I'm still not what you'd consider a Yankee Candle convert but I can't say the lines of people waiting outside the store for it to open were wrong either. It's definitely the Disney World of candles.

Yankee Candle in South Deerfield is a great place to both stock up on candles as well as spend some time with family and friends. This place is huge and what I love about this store is the fact that they have different rooms with different themes. I also love how they have a great candy room, kitchen and home goods section as well as a great center cafe area. Every year I make it a point around Christmas to stop in and buy gifts for family members. Overall, the store is great and they have a ton of great items. The staff is always welcoming and super polite. The only critique is that the candles are a bit overprices, but they often have great deals and coupons.

We (my fiancé, his sister and my son) came here for lunch after a long day of shopping at the Village. We were immediately seated. The hostess and the waitress were very nice. We had the quesadillas for an appetizer, because the artichoke dip ran out. The app was alright, nothing to rave about. They had a special on wine that day, it was half off the entire bottle! Ugh, this girl is not missing out on that! We shared the wine. It was a bottle of Hahn, and boy was it delicious. I had a glass and a half, boy was I tipsy. LOL. The food on the table ranged from the famous New England clam chowder to pizzas and sandwiches. They had a pretty decent kids menu and as always, my son ordered the chicken and fries. The Decor was cute. It gave me that Tahoe resort feeling . The exposed wood in the ceiling and the candles hung to dry gave it a total Yankee candle feel. I would love to come back here and eat again. The service was great!

Magical. There is simply no way I can possibly do this place justice. But, I'll do my best. We had no idea this place was even in the area (we were vacationing near by) but were made aware of it by our Inn Keepers. I've been to the Tillamook Cheese factory on the west coast and sort of thought it would be like that--only candle making instead of cheese. It is SO much more than that. First of all--there are candles. My good heavens, people, there are candles. Candles of every shape, size, scent, color, and variety. There are man scents. There are flower scents. There are fruit scents. There are odd scents. The sheer volume of candles boggles the mind. In addition to that? How about making your own candle? Done. How about a room designed like something out of the 1800's where they demonstrate how candles were made in days of old? Yes. Kettle corn? They've got it. Lunch? Bring it. Toy store? Play away. How about a room completely decorated and smelling like Christmas, complete with Christmas trees, Father Christmas, elaborate fountain, and.... wait for it... snow every few minutes? That's right, my people, the room effing snows. So, there you'll stand, in this room that's darkened other than the twinkling of Christmas lights and snow whirling around you--in the middle of June thinking--I really shouldn't be this enchanted by this. Really, I shouldn't. But I am. I really, really am. They have a HUGE sale/clearance section to stock up on discontinued scents and overstock. Every last person who works here is ridiculously pleasant. You could spend hours here--no exaggeration--HOURS! Get to it!

More than expected, it's not just candles. It was fun walking through the different sections. The Mrs. was in heaven in the Christmas section. This is definitely worth the drive to spend a few hours with the family.

My family and I had lunch at the Chandler restaurant which is somewhat attached to Yankee Candle. The service was somewhat spotty, but the food was excellent. Even my son's grilled cheese looked great. It looked like an excellent venue for a wedding or formal event; they were setting up for a wedding as we were leaving.

I liked the place...after a long morning of shopping for every candle under the sun, we need to be fed and watered ASAP! There is a small food area in the Yankee Candle Store, but we wanted more than a hot dog and bag of chips - not to mention the line was literally a mile long with what seemed like one worker behind the counter. We walked over to Chandler's and were told it would be about 10 minute wait which was fine. A couple minutes later our name was called and we were seated (at a table that was open when we walked in the door...not sure why the wait). Our waitress came over quickly and took our drink order - Mom and I decided to split the BBC sample (since it was local)...and then I got carded. I'm sharing 4, 5oz beers with my Mom. Come on. Not to mention...I'm a few months away from 30 and most likely older than the waitress! Anyway. Our drinks came and we ordered. I had the Half Sandwich of the Day (which was a Tuna Wrap) and Side Salad - I really wasn't feeling Tuna or a Wrap but that was all that really sounded good to me. My Mom ordered the Caesar Salad with Salmon on top which she enjoyed, but I thought the little slab of Salmon was not worth the $6 extra. Our meals were tasty and I can't complain. However, out of the beers, the fourth one was a Seasonal and not once were we told what it was. That's partly on us too. It did seem to take a little while to get our food but we weren't in much of a rush. We enjoyed our afternoon. Would probably come back here only if we were shopping for candles. The decor was nice...kind of rusitc'y. I didn't use the restroom so I can't say anything about that. I think the place is middle of the road, nothing great but nothing horrible either.

I used to think it was weird for someone to want to go to Deerfield and buy candles. I thought that was all that was happening at Yankee Candle, yet I found myself there one day in March because the Peeps mascot and Peeps mobile were there to welcome the new Peeps candle. And who doesn't like Marshmallow Peeps??? What I didn't realize is that this place is ENORMOUS. As in, it could be its own zip code. Nice people with maps at the doors (I was thinking "a map??") and while I really did just want to see the Peeps, I found myself wandering around, kind of mesmerized by the fact that you could do all kinds of shopping, eat things, make candle-y things, eat some more, and buy every scented candle you could imagine. Or just a Peeps scented one. Everyone working here is incredibly nice, and if I find myself out here again, I am going in (even without the Peeps mascot).

Not good. Not even close for the price. Ordered ginger chicken wings-got plain buffalo wings. Fine, mistakes happen. What's not a mistake: the shrimp on my salad was NOT cleaned, HARDLY warm or grilled and I was afraid to chip a tooth by biting into it. Also, I hate to be a stickler for details but don't say certain ingredients are included in a dish, even as trivial as a salad, and leave them out. And if your waitress talks to me one more time like I'm in kindergarten(perhaps to make up for the fact that she hasn't once asked me how my meal is - she knows!), I'm going to jail today.

This was a real disappointment. The serving staff wasn't attentive. My husband had to get up and find our server to get our check. The food was much too salty, the veggie lasagna was burnt. I should have gone to my first choice.

What a pleasant experience my fellow diners and I had at Chandler's. A late lunch one raw Sunday seated eight of us, without reservations, in a mere fifteen or so minutes despite a surprisingly busy diningroom; a dining room epitomizing the New England fare and atmosphere of the meals and factory outside. The staff was quite friendly and perfectly attentive - despite it being a dinner-only custom, we still received complementary candles with our meals after simply asking. Beginning with appetizers - the Calamari a particular standout with light batter and tender squid - we concluded with small but richly satisfying molten chocolate cakes and simple vanilla bean ice cream. Between us we enjoyed a hefty-looking and "good" veggie burger, Roast Turkey sandwiches with "slightly dry" turkey but generous portions and terrific stuffing. The Chicken pot pie is puff-pastry-topped with finely shredded chicken, and the sous and sandwiches remaining well received. I enjoyed my Salad Nicoise however would have appreciated more than a single sliced egg and the meager potatoes dressing it; perhaps a Tuna Nicoise would have been a better rounded variation. In all the prices were a bit high for the lunch dishes served but the atmosphere and, despite slow, service excellent. I found Chandlers to exceed my expectations.

We were traveling and noticed Chandlers - starved and looking for something a bit better then pizzas and subs, The menu was posted outside, we both smiled at each other and was hoping for a bit of a fine dining luncheon. It was real cozy and nice. We were seated at a table with a dirty water glass, we waited a long time, and the food was just okay. Maybe it's nicer at dinner. The outside of the building with the menu gives you that over all feel it's a treat, but it wasn't our lucky day.

The Mall of Yankee Candle America: A Man's Perspective. Corralled to stop in whilst driving by, what I discovered was a sprawling Mr. Magoo's fragrant emporium. Don't get separated because I'm in the back near the Winter Candles won't work, it's too big. The mall errr store is just room after room of candles, kitchen gadgets, large candles, carnival food, fat candles, chotchkies and then mini-candles. Apparently you can spend a lot of time smelling ocean breeze or cajun toil-n-trouble or who knows what. Us gents have been exposed to worse, this place is so ridic it's mildly amusing. A lot of the same merch is just re-scattered over and over again throughout the various wings of the store. Keep your flock together, lasso any stragglers don't let them backtrack or lose direction, if you do you will make it across these aromatic plains a stronger man.

I was hesitant to try Chandler's after the so-so reviews on yelp, but we found ourselves at Yankee Candle Village so I figured we'd give it a shot. I have to agree with most of the reviews here, the ambiance is great: candles everywhere and a cozy, New England vibe (especially on a dreadful, rainy day). We were seated promptly at around 12:30 on a Saturday, and our server came over right away. She seemed a little rushed to get our order in (she asked immediately if we knew what we wanted), but was very friendly all the same. I ordered the beer flight (delish), and when she delivered it she spilled all over the table (which is fine, things happen, but she didn't seem to notice / acknowledge it happening). Overall, I cannot complain too much about the service as (compared to other reviews) everything seemed quick and organized. The problem really came with the food. After our waitress explained the specials of the day, I decided on the apple and onion quiche (a special). This came with a soup or salad, so I decided to get the clam chowder to start. The chowder was great, creamy, with enough clams and potatoes. When the quiche arrived, I was a little upset as looks like they just haphazardly cut off a piece of quiche, and put it on the plate by itself with some sad looking garnish. When I bit into it, it was luke warm and only got colder with time. The taste was bland and flavorless, and one of the worst meals I have ever been served at a restaurant. For the "upscale nature" of the restaurant, I was highly dissapointed and would probably not come back. Seconded all the reviews that said this place was "phoning it in" because they know they have built in customers.

This is a place you would come to for lunch even if you weren't candle shopping. I have eaten here a several times over the years and have consistently had a good meal. The Caesar salad is very good. I've had them everywhere and they probably make the top 10 but definitely the top 20. I can't say a bad word about any of the sandwiches I have tried. I haven't ever had a dinner entree although fellow diners with me over time have and always said the meal was home style good. There's not a lot of places to go in Deerfield and if you're driving by or through I certainly recommend it. Also, check the website for frequent events, i.e. tea tastings, half price bottle of wines, beer dinners, special holiday brunches.

HUGE STORE! I've never seen so many candles in my life. I have to come here every time I am in the area to stock up on candles. I spend a lot of time smelling all of the different candles- sometimes it's a bit much. Luckily, there are little canisters of coffee beans around so you can reset. They not only have candles here, but home decor, kitchen items, garden items, jewelry, Vera Bradley items, a candy store, fudge shop, Christmas store, and more.

Amazing store! This place is huge with a lot of stuff! Friendly staff. They had a special 6 big candles for 60$ compare to 28$ regular. A lot of fantastic smell. Give a try to "on tap" or "humm bacon" sent..

I visited the Yankee Candle flagship store yesterday looking for an entertaining afternoon with my boyfriend and a single Christmas ornament for my mom, and was incredibly disappointed in the quality of the products offered. Just about everything was outrageously overpriced, tacky, and poorly made - I'm not a Christian nor an ascetic, but the overbearing and conspicuous piles of crappy, mass produced consumer junk made me feel nauseated, and I think it's safe to say Jesus would have wept. The store itself was a confusing labyrinth with only one checkout area, which is a poor design - I actually had a couple things I wanted to buy, but the prospect of waiting in line after searching for a cashier for over five minutes was too much and I ended up just leaving empty handed. They should put cashiers in every room to make it easier for customers to complete their purchases before having second thoughts about dropping their wages on $30 jar candles. I left feeling like I'd gone searching for love in the wrong place - unfulfilled and anxious like a cat who had just spent hours in a room full of dogs. The Christmas villages and snow were pretty neat, as were the DIY candle stations. All the staff we encountered were helpful and polite, and they had no shortage of restrooms.

Welcome to the MEGAStore of all candle stores...... EVER!!! :-) This was my 2nd trip here and well for my 100th review on YELP! I can't think of a better place to tell everyone to go shop for candles!! Since I am not from the area and only visit when going to visit friends in family up in Vermont, this surely is the PERFECT place to get out and stretch those legs after a long car ride! The store is HUGE - it's the size of a small town really, and YES, they will provide you with a map so you don't get lost in the store!! Like others mentioned, it is the DISNEYWORLD for candle lovers! The store is broken into many different areas - The main store where you can find just about every scent imaginable!! There is of course a clearance section, home section,an entire wing for Christmas goods, food court with theatre area for kiddies, the "mancave' section, and the create your very own scent section called Wax Works which looks like a great time for both kids and adults of any age!! So you're next roadtrip has to include a stop here... Plan at least an hour to get thru it all!! You won't be sorry!!!

I like Yankees, both the baseball playing New York kind and the New England type. I'm indifferent about candles. So why the four star rating? The sheer enormity of the store,a gargantuan square footage that requires a map be given to customers upon entry, makes this the Xanadu of South Deerfield. Enter and you will be transported to various worlds of make believe, Americana and more. For you see it's always Christmas at this store and while usually I share the pre-epiphany bitterness of Dr. Seuss' grinch, I actually reveled in the wholesomeness of it all. It helped that I visited 7 months before the holiday rush as I'm sure the experience of the crowds would have altered my experience. A Bavarian Christmas Village is what they call it, complete with a royal crest that is made up of candles, of course. Every few minutes artificial snow falls from the sky. Toy trains make their way this veritable land of make believe that Fred Rogers would likely appreciate. In fact, there's so much more than candles here that the store is an attraction in itself. I spent far too much time in the food area, browsing through the classic candies and laughing at the bizarre international caricatures on the spice mixes. (Peppers dressed up as Mexicans and Italians? Why not?) There's a section dedicated to the 'man cave' enthusiast so you'll find bacon flavored candles, signs proclaiming one's loyalty to an organized sports franchise and hats describing your position as a #1 Dad. There's a corner of Three Stooges themed items, right next to the I Love Lucy section. It's as if the memories of those growing up in the 40's and 50's has been writ large for all to share and gawk at in varying degrees of awe, fear and irony. So I didn't actually buy anything at the store but I had plenty of opportunities. I could have eaten fudge, been sketched by a cartoonist and watched a magic show at 12. I could have had my hands made into candles, I could have made candles and I could have eaten at Chandler's restaurant. What I did enjoy was a good sit on the outdoor porch's rocking chair, idling away the afternoon while absorbing what I had just seen. Yankee Candle, you definitely lit my fire!

I love Chandlers for what it is. It serves Yankee Candle Village. The spot is very elegant against a commercial outlet store full of consumerism. However, the two times I have gone- I got what I wanted. Personal service and folks that made me feel special for choosing Chandlers ratber than another establishment. The chefs that were serving made to order omlets on Easter '14 were wicked friendly and funny. MADE a to die for omlet for each person at my table. I also went to Chandlers for my first Wedding Anniversary. We went at 5 in the afternoon and it was quiet and has personal service. One thing to note is that our server did not fill our wine glasses FOR us when they were low/empty and my husband needed to take it out of the ice bucket himself. On Easter our server looked JUST like Taylor Lautner.

We forgot that Yankee candles closed early in then fall/winter season. We thought if we had dinner here before walking in to the store, we would have walked off the dinner we had. So, when we were seated by 5.15, we would do our rounds after a hearty dinner. We were not impressed with the ne clam chowder. It tasted like it was from the can. My corn and sweet potato soup was okay. I had seafood bouillabaisse which lacked a piece of grilled toast and soup. It seemed that the kitchen staff put it together hastily as if I was the only customer ordering it. Your special swordfish dish was decent but plain. My husband's dinner of prime rib was too bloody and rare. He asked for medium. They had to take it back to the kitchen to heat it. So by the time he eats his dinner, we were almost done. Our server Jenny was pleasant and gave us two free desserts due to the mediocre clam chowder and slow prime rib dinner. We shared toll house chocolate pie slice and creme brûlée. This is my clear and unbiased assessment of our first time here. Will we go there again if we have other choices? No. For the prices we paid, we can expect much more from j Gilbert's or Ruth Christies.

My first job in high school was at a Linens 'N Things, and one time, the power went out, and I smelled all the candles. It was the best day. This is what it's like every time I go to Yankee Candle. The Yankee Candle flagship store - the "Scenter of the Universe" - is the Disney World of candle shops. There's a giant space with every candle scent, plus rooms filled with gifts, trinkets, and candles catered to various themes. There's an entire Christmas area (complete with fake snow), a toy center, a candy store, a "man cave," and even little alcoves for specific states around the food court that also houses a small theater. Everything at regular price is pretty expensive, but I like to splurge and get at least one candle I really like, plus some stuff out of the "Sale Scenter." I'm not in love with all the scents, but they're all spot on, and the candles themselves are quality - no smoke marks on the ceiling or that extra burnt wax smell. This store is a little far out of the way for me to drive, so I don't get here that often (and I probably can't afford to stop in too much), but I like making the stop when I'm passing through or when I'm in the area.

SO much to do - something for everyone! If you're just shopping for candles, selection is the most extensive you're going to get. Make sure your nose is ready to handle the fragrance overload, and your feet are ready to walk the ginormous property! Aside from candles, great selection of home goods, chocolates and candies, toys, collectibles; you just can't go wrong. LOVE the Christmas wing, especially since it "snows" every four minutes. Kids (ahem - "I") get such a kick out of it!

Took a ride up to Yankee Candle Saturday. After wandering around in a fragrance infused haze for several hours, we decided to get something to eat. I actually hadn't heard anything from anyone about Chandlers. None of my friends had ever gone but Yelp gave me some insight. It was dimly lit and very Pilgrim era-esque. Wooden floors, tables, chairs etc. Our server was nice enough but we barely saw her. I had the whole sandwich of the day (chicken salad) and a cup of chowder. I wasn't a big fan of the chowder. It tasted very bland and was lacking clams and potatoes. The chicken salad sandwich was good. The chicken was a little tough which makes me think it was cooked a few days ago and refrigerated. Overall, not terribly disappointing but I didn't have high hopes going in either. Not a bad place to swing by for a quick bite.

My family and I have been here twice. We love it. I highly recommend visiting if you are in the area. A fabulous Christmas shop, so many things to see. So many candles and candies and collectibles. Not bad prices either!

Allergy sufferers beware. Through some drugs in your purse before you go. There are a lot of smells. I sneeze within the first few minutes of arrival. But I push through it because I don't get here much and I love it. Growing up in Holyoke, MA, the Yankee Candle was a staple for us. I met Nancy Kerrigan there (post knee injury) when I was in 5th or 6th grade. My grandparents live just up the road in Greenfield so now when we go to visit a Yankee stop is a must (though I should note we do patronage Kringle Candle as well). I suggest taking the map offered at the door. I got separated from my family and went in a giant circle. There are a bunch of different rooms each with their own theme. I always really liked the medieval room with the dark castle walls. Plus the Snow Babies are sold in that area (my main reason for going). My mom or grandma usually buys me a candle or air freshener. On special days we got our hands dipped in wax or dyed our own candles. This place is memories for me. I love going.

Had lunch here before shopping. Wait staff was very nice. Half sandwich special was ham salad on a biscuit. It was very good but I would have preferred a different type roll. The clam chowder was just ok. Very nice atmosphere. Good for families too.

Great to tour or just shop. Staff is so friendly. So much to see, do, smell, and buy. Not just candles but also home decor, kitchen essentials, and CANDY!

I've been a few times. Today was the worst. The service was very very slow.! We dined with a couple who had a 3 yr old and a one yr old. The waitress didn't bring the kids food until after our main meal (burgers) . This was over an hour. We waited a long time for our drinks as well. The food was ok. I was surprised that the gratuity was added to the check. There were 4 adults and the 2 kids. I'm assuming it was their way if assuring the waitress a decent top when the service was terrible. One of us ordered a bacon cheeseburger and it came without bacon. The fruit from the kids menu had grapes which was dangerous. The people next To us were watching a movie at the table which was loud and rude.
